I still gotta give A-rod his due. He's the best player in the game and has hit game winning homers and etc., so he is clutch. Hes not always had the best average in October, but the "savior" Jeter has played worse than A-Rod in the playoffs the past 4 years I believe, so everything can't be laid at A-rods feet if no one gets on base in front of him.
a GW homer in april is about as meaningful as a losing lottery ticket
I think the yanks just have no desire to get it done....Look at Jeter and A-Rod , they choke out more times than not in October, where as guys like Manny and Ortiz, heck it's like that is when they hit the best...

And Pedro already screwing up in April is priceless
I'd rather mow the grass than watch a regular season baseball game on tv.
I say let them use steroids or whatever. Barry Bonds needs to be playing. The Texas Rangers will win the World Series. Boston will finish 3rd in the AL East. The Rangers win the World Series. Oh, did I say that already??????
Did you really just say Jeter chokes in the post season?
When did you start watching baseball, last year?
AROD hasnt performed to what anyone would like in the postseason, but if he helps us get there, thats alright. Cause he will eventually come through, the only difference between the Yankees now and when they were winning is pitching... They have guys who arent really in their prime to be nice, they dont have guys like they had who were Vets and still had gas left in the tank, Clemens of 2000, Key, Cone, Wells, Mussina (although he kills me) Wetland, Rivera (The Sandman is no where close to where he use to be) ... plus the "Core" guys are starting to age and they have lost many of the real blue collar guys, O'neil, Tino, Brosius, Bernie, Knobby etc. I love the older guys but there comes a point to when you have to start looking a head some, I mean Posada is one of my favorite players of all time, but who offers a 35/36 year old catcher a 6 year deal for that much?!
You've hit the nail on the head there, and I enjoy the Spankees not coming thru in the series. Us Braves fans know how it feels.
I just brought up the Jeter/Arod comparison because you never hear the down side of Jeter's performance because he made a couple of plays in the 90s playoffs.
LOL, I credit much of the succes of the Yankees directly to Jeter. He is a definition of a leader, if he doesnt do it on the field, he does it off the field. Being as biased as I am, I consider him one of the greatest post season players of all time, considering he has played in every post season since 96.
Don't worry, that streak will come to an end this year.
